16. If you are going to be wise

if you are going to be wise
be foolish
seize the day
as decapitated chickens

take off
your safety locks
and let
the mariachi band burn

take off
your buttons
and have your coat
become cape

if you are going to be wise
be falling
feathers, or flying
barbecue ash

be lighter
than neon,
unknot like
greased threads

if you are going, go
places, even
places you
can not spell

a heavy conclusion
is not
the only
wisdom here.
