I've been busy and I'm behind

I like the cut of her
jib. She's got sequins
on the underside, she's been
tiddlywinks at the emporium,
waiting for her date. Something
in her ruche and ramble gets me graceless,
when she twists a figure-skate
on the schnapps-sodden corner
of the dancefloor. I wait
to take her hand in the fluorescence
of the toilet queue. Tamper down,
unfortified, and wait for the twirl.
